This is England ’90 Original Soundtrack coming to Vinyl – more from Manchester…

Bye-bye Thatcher, hello acid house.

Shane Meadows’ award winning This Is England series has traced its Mancunian characters across a decade. The latest incarnation, set in 1990, introduces the crew to acid house, hedonism and mighty comedowns.

The soundtrack perfectly encapsuates the era and features Madchester classics from the likes of Happy Mondays, Stone Roses and James, alongside Hacienda acid-house anthems from The Scientist and 808 State.

There’s also new material from Ludovico Einaudi and TOYDRUM, as well as a brand new recording of the Maytals’ classic ‘54-46 (Was My Number)’ by Kiko Bun.
