Ain’t nothing but a jazz thing here at eil.com this week with a vast array of top jazz rare vinyl and CDs coming through the doors, here’s a few to whet your jazz whistle, see them all in our Jazz collectors store.

ORNETTE COLEMAN In Concert (Limited Edition 80s US-only 8-track 2-LP set with ‘GR-ALPHA’ engraved in the run-outs, recorded in Padua, Italy on May 4, 1974 with James Blood Ulmer on guitar, Norris “Sirone” Jones on bass & Billy Higgins on drums. Originally released only in plain grey die-cut sleeves, these two records appear in one of the Italian black & white picture boxes. The box [VG] has noticeable paper splitting along the spine [the lid lifts off] but serves its purpose of housing the discs. Both vinyl records remain near ‘as new’).

THE STAN TRACEY QUARTET With Love From Jazz (Gorgeous Brit-Jazz rarity 1968 UK 8-track mono LP, also starring Bobby Wellins [Tenor Sax], Dave Green [Bass] & Jack Dougan [Drums], unique front laminated flipback picture sleeve with company inner. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with minor creasing to the laminate in places and a bit of edge scuffing at the opening and the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play SX6205).

NOAH HOWARD Space Dimension (Intergalactic 1970 French first press 5-track LP, an incredible rarity for the freeform jazz collector, also starring Frank Wright on tenor sax, Bobby Few on piano & Art Taylor or Muhammad Ali on drums. The glossypicture sleeve reveals only the lightest spot of ring wear starting to show & the vinyl is near ‘as new’. Destination out! 30AM6108).
