Mega rare, official 2007 US limited-edition, promotional-only Five CD box set, The Songs of Kurt Cobain.
Produced to promote licensing interest in Kurt’s extensive back catalogue, acquired by Primary Wave Publishing from Courtney Love in early 2007. Each custom-printed picture Disc is housed within a beautiful heart-shaped, hand-carved wooden musical box with Kurt’s caricature logo etched on the lid and Primary Wave’s logo on the side.
When the lid is removed you are greeted by the intro bars of Heart-Shaped Box, and treated to a booklet and individually numbered certificate. This fantastic item has quickly become THE rarity to own and covet!
Each disc is custom printed with an image of Kurt and tracklisting details. Three of the discs compile a superb ‘Best Of’ selection, while a fourth disc features acclaimed cover versions. The fifth disc features ‘Lullaby Renditions’ and interpretations by The Tallywood Strings.
The discs are carefully stored inside the box on a spindle with an exclusive circular picture booklet and a hand-numbered certificate. This box is numbered 306 out of 500.Already renowned as one of the most elaborate and lovingly produced rarities by ANY artist in recent memory, this item will most certainly remain highly collectable and desirable for decades to come.
